Think about it: In Stage 1, you’re moving yourself around with limited mobility. You’re pushing yourself up in bed and maneuvering into chairs.

  • Strength & Endurance: You don't need to be a powerlifter, but having a solid base of strength and cardio endurance reduces complications and helps your body process the "trauma" of surgery.
  • The "Fuel" Factor: Your body is rebuilding skin and nerves. Focus on whole foods and cut the processed sugars now to give your immune system a head start.

The best time to start was yesterday. The second best time is today.
